Crimson Exploration acquires acreage in Texas

EBR Staff Writer Published 04 November 2011

Oil and natural gas firm Crimson Exploration has acquired 4,700 gross (4,600 net) leasehold acres in Madison County in the US state of Texas.

During 2011, the company has increased its leasehold position in Madison and Grimes counties and has now about 19,000 gross (15,500 net) acres.

Crimson president and CEO Allan Keel said the company continues to focus its capital program on developing oil-weighted opportunities.

"The Madison/Grimes County area provides a multi-year inventory of liquids-rich growth opportunities with very attractive internal rates of return," Keel said.

Crimson is engaged in the acquisition, development, exploitation and production of crude oil and natural gas, primarily in the onshore Gulf Coast regions of the US.
