Hinto Energy acquires South Uintah Gas Properties

EBR Staff Writer Published 08 February 2012

US-based oil and gas explorer and developer Hinto Energy has completed its acquisition of South Uintah Gas Properties (SUGP).

SUGP has become Hinto's wholly owned subsidiary and Hinto has acquired about 5,000 gross acres of mineral interest in the Uintah basin in Utah, US.

The property includes deep oil and gas rights, below about 10,000ft, together with one gas well which has been shut in due to lack of pipeline access.

Hinto said it is also planning to buy additional potential oil and gas acreage and reserves and engage in the production of natural gas and oil, mainly in the Central Rockies.
