Hyperdynamics resumes drilling on Sabu-1 well offshore Guinea

Hyperdynamics Corporation has resumed drilling operations on the Sabu-1 exploration well in its concession offshore Guinea.

The company recommenced drilling from a point 2,304m subsea and the well is expected to encounter prospective upper Cretaceous sandstone reservoirs while drilling to a total subsea depth of 3,600m.

Hyperdynamics is the operator of the Guinea concession with a 77% participating interest, while Dana Petroleum holds the remaining 23% interest.

The exploration well is being operated through AGR, a well management company.

Hyperdynamics is an independent oil and gas exploration and production firm and it is exploring for oil and gas offshore Guinea.
